Powered by a Euro 6 compliant e-XDi160 1.6-litre diesel engine.
At the ongoing 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Euro-spec Ssangyong Tivoli diesel has made its debut. This event also marks the international launch of the Tivoli diesel version. The Ssangyong Tivoli diesel was launched in Korea in July, 2015, six months after the launch of the petrol version in the local market.
The Ssangyong Tivoli diesel is powered by a Euro 6 compliant e-XDi160 1.6-litre diesel engine, churning out 115 PS maximum power and 300 Nm peak torque at 1,500-2,500 rpm. The Korean version gets only an Aisin 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the Euro-spec model is also offered with a manual transmission option. It is also available with a 4-Wheel Drive system in top-end variants.
The Tivoli is an urban crossover with an overall length of 4,195 mm, width of 1,795 mm, height of 1,590 mm and wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Notable features offered in the top-end Tivoli variant include disc brakes on all four wheels, Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill start assist, active roll protection, and 7 airbags.
For the Indian market, parent brand Mahindra still hasn't decided on bringing the Tivoli, which could be sold alongside their current sole offering, the Ssangyong Rexton.
