The Ssangyong Rexton W, the facelifted version of the second gen Rexton, is on sale in India since 2012.
The refreshed Ssangyong Rexton W (branded Ssangyong Rexton in India) will be launched in Brazil this month, two years after its international launch.
The Mahindra-owned South Korean automaker's Brazilian website already lists the refreshed SUV and according to the local media, dealers are now accepting bookings.
The Rexton W gets a completely revamped front fascia which looses the Mercedes-like front grille (the Rexton has its roots from the Mercedes M Class). The wider chrome finished front grille, new headlamps with LED daytime running lights and new bumpers define the updated front fascia.
In profile the car gets ORVMs with blinkers, new alloy wheel design while the rear gets LED detailing for the taillight. The interior is pretty much the same.
Power comes from the 2.7-litre diesel engine which is also available in the India-spec model. The motor generates 161 PS and 340 Nm of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission sends power either to the rear wheels or to all the four wheels via a torque-on-demand 4x4 system.
Equipment wise, the top-end variant has projector headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, music system with Bluetooth connectivity, electrically adjustable front seats, dual front airbags, ABS, ESP, Hill Descent Control, etc.
Ssangyong recently launched a new RX6 variant of the Rexton in India and introduced the 60th Anniversary Special Edition in the UK.
