The Piaggio Group, apart from showcasing several Vespa products, also brought the Moto Guzzi and Aprilia brands to the 2014 Auto Expo. Moto Guzzi showcased their California 1400 Touring at the show.
The California 1400 is powered by a 90-degree, V-Twin, 1,380 cc four-stroke engine. The engine is air and oil-cooled. It produces maximum power of 96 hp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 120 Nm at 2,750 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike rests on a steel tubing, double cradle chassis with a closed elastic kinematic engine mounting system and weighs 337 kg dripping wet. It measures in at 2,445 mm in length, 1,030 mm in width, 1,460 mm in height, 1,685 mm in wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 165 mm.

Stopping power is provided by dual 320 mm discs at the front and a 282 mm disc at the rear. Suspension duties are taken care of by a swingarm with double shock absorber with adjustable spring load at the rear and a standard swingarm with telescopes at the front.
