DSK Hyosung plans to introduce the Hyosung GT250R facelift in the immediate future. As proof, Topgear India has published a spyshot of the revised sportsbike at a dealership property. The facelift receives a makeover that gives it plenty in common with the Hyosung GT650R. Note that sales of the refreshed model opened in international markets last year.
The air intake near the headlamps are similar to the elder sibling, as is the headlamp cluster. The distinguishing feature on the GT250R is the aluminium exhaust pipe (the 650R features a matte-finished exhaust). There are no mechanical changes, with the same recipe (249 cc V-Twin oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 28 bhp @ 10,000 rpm and 22.07 Nm @ 8,000 rpm, hooked to a five-speed gearbox) continuing on the facelift. The motorcycle weighs 188 kg and hits a top speed of 140 kph.
The report says that bookings for the Hyosung GT250R facelift have commenced with the motorcycle priced at INR 3.11 lakh (on road, Mumbai). The GT250R's main rivals are the Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Suzuki Inazuma.
