New top-end variant.
The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang has made its premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Powered by a 5.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine that is designed with a flat-plane crankshaft, it is capable of dishing out over 500 bhp and 542 Nm of torque. Linked to a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited slip differential, power is transferred to the road through 19-inch wheels.
Stopping power is provided by 394 mm front rotors with Brembo six-piston calipers and 380 mm rotors having four-piston calipers at the rear. Ford is offering customers the optional Track Pack that gives the car an engine oil cooler and transmission oil cooler.
On the interior, one can find Recaro seats, a double-zone climate control system and an 8-inch touchscreen display part that runs the MyTouch Ford infotainment. A driving program is available which offers five modes to adjust the stability and traction control, throttle mapping, exhaust, ABS, and steering feedback.
The car's prices and detailed specifications haven't been released, but being the top-end model, it will be priced over $32,100 (INR 19.88 lakhs) and begin selling in the US next year.
