Ford Thailand had displayed the Ranger truck in two variants at the 2016 Thai Expo held earlier this month. The Ford Ranger Wildtrak (3.2L, 4x4) and Ford Ranger Hi-Rider FX4 are priced at THB 1,189,000 and THB 924,000.
Ford Ranger Wildtrak
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak is available in 4x2 and 4x4 versions, and it is the latter which is seen in the above image. The Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 measures 5,362 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,815 mm, and has a wheelbase of 3,220 mm. It can be had with either a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 118 kW (160 PS) and 385 Nm of torque or a 3.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that develops 147 kW (200 PS) and 470 Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard.
Projector headlamps, puddle lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, black side steps with brushed garnish, Wildtrak door handles, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, ambient lighting with 7 changeable colours, 8-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system with WiFi hotspot, and 6-speaker sound system are the key features of the Ranger Wildtrak 4x4.
Ford Ranger Hi-Rider FX4
The Ford Ranger Hi-Rider FX4 is only available in with a 4x2 drivetrain. It measures 5,362 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,815 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,220 mm. Under the bonnet, there's a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine tuned to produce 118 kW (160 PS) and 385 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
The Ford Ranger Hi-Rider's highlights include glossy black front grille and door handles, projector headlamps with front fog lamp, 4-inch colour Multi-function display, cruise control and 6-speaker sound system.
