Ford has updated the EcoSport’s equipment lines in India. The most significant change is the Titanium and Titanium+ grades switching to a bigger MID.
Ford had introduced a 4.2-inch LCD in the EcoSport in India in the sporty S variant, in May last year. The regular grades were equipped with a 2.3-inch LCD then. Now, the Titanium and Titanium+ grades have switched to the bigger display. Along with this more advanced MID, they have gained chrome rings in the instrument panel as well.
The latest update means that the Ford EcoSport Signature also comes with a 4.2-inch LCD and chrome rings in the instrument panel now, as it’s simply an option pack available on the Titanium grade. Also, when the S and Signature were launched, the Trend grade had black interior door handles and the Trend+ and Titanium grades had grey interior door handles. Now, the Trend grade includes silver interior door handles, while the Trend+ and Titanium grades have switched to chrome ones.

The Ford EcoSport is available with three engine options: 1.5-litre Ti-VCT naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol, 1.5-litre TDCi turbocharged four-cylinder diesel and 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged three-cylinder petrol. The 1.5-litre petrol unit (123 PS/150 Nm) is paired with a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The 1.5-litre diesel unit channels power to the wheels via a 5-speed MT. The 1.0-litre petrol unit, which is exclusive to the sporty S variant, is bolted to a 6-speed MT.
