According to a report on CarWale, FCA India will re-launch the pre-facelift Fiat Punto this month, and badge it the Fiat Punto Pure. The report states that the Punto Pure is nothing but the pre-facelift Punto manufactured in 2014, prior to the launch of the Punto Evo (the Punto Evo was introduced in August 2014).
The Punto Pure will be available in three variants - Active, Dynamic and Emotion - and is likely to be offered with the 1.3-liter MultiJet diesel engine, the 1.4-liter FIRE and 1.2-liter FIRE petrol engines. The report states that FCA India is expected to price the hatchback aggressively as it is more of a stock clearance. For reference, the Punto Evo is priced from INR 4.99 lakhs for petrol and INR 5.95 lakhs for diesel, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
The top-end Emotion trim will be specced with alloy wheels, a foldable keyfob, Microsoft's Blue&Me, a 2-DIN music system, steering mounted controls, automatic AC, dual front airbags, ABS and EBD. At a sub-5 lakh price-point for the petrol, the hatchback will find itself in the segment comprising the Hyundai i10, Maruti Celerio, Chevrolet Beat and the base variant of the Maruti Swift.
