Likely to be the Punto Pure edition.
Fiat India has teased a new variant of the Fiat Punto for the upcoming Auto Expo 2016, which starts for the media on February 3, 2016. The teaser image clearly shows the front fascia of the pre-facelift Punto, confirming rumors of the Fiat Punto Pure which were doing the rounds earlier in the month.
According to reports, the Fiat Punto Pure is essentially the Fiat Punto (pre-facelift) manufactured in 2014. Renaming the car the Punto Pure is a marketing exercise to sell the old stock, albeit at attractive prices, reports say. For reference, the Fiat Punto Evo is priced from INR 4.99 lakhs for petrol and INR 5.95 lakhs for diesel, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
When it was sold in the country, the Fiat Punto was powered by 1.2- and 1.4-liter four-cylinder FIRE petrol engines and the 1.3-liter MultiJet diesel engine. It was offered in three distinct variants - Active, Dynamic and Emotion. Features on the Emotion trim included dual front airbags, ABS, alloy wheels, a Blue&ME Bluetooth-enabled music system, steering mounted control, automatic climate control, and a foldable key fob.
