Under the hood, the Fiat Tipo will pack a choice between two Multijet diesel engines: 95 hp and 120 hp. Although unconfirmed, they are likely to be the 95 hp 1.3 Multijet and 120 hp 1.6 Multijet II. It will be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Reports suggest that, apart from its main production in Turkey, the Fiat Tipo will also be manufactured in Brazil and India, re-igniting rumors of its eventual introduction in India.
