The video depicts a design that is largely identical to the near-production Fiat Aegea concept unveiled in Turkey on May 21. If the dimensions are same, the Egea would measure 4500 mm long, 1780 wide and 1480 high, and have a wheelbase of 2640 mm.
Inside, it has a flowing dashboard with a silver accent running across it, and buttons neatly arranged under the central HVAC vent. Features include a 3-spoke steering wheel with buttons, Uconnect infotainment system with a 5-inch color touchscreen display, automatic climate control and Bluetooth connectivity.
Although not confirmed, the Egea could offer an engine lineup that comprises of a 1.4-liter petrol engine with 95 PS, 1.6 E.torQ producing 110 hp, 1.3 Multijet II capable of 95 PS and a 1.6 Multijet II with 120 hp. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic unit.
The Egea will be manufactured in Turkey and exported to 40 LHD countries, including countries in the African and Middle Eastern region. As for the Indian market, the Fiat Egea still remains unconfirmed, although Fiat India is working on a replacement for the Fiat Linea.
