Available in two colors, with 2WD and 4WD.
Fiat has revealed the 500X Opening Edition, a special edition to commemorate the start of sales of the crossover when it launches in Europe early next year. Limited to just 2,000 units, the Opening Edition will be available in two trims.
The base version gets an Art Grey exterior with tinted rear windows, special badging and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Features like automatic climate control and the Safety and Comfort packages (anti-collision, a lane change assistance system, a lane departure warning system, a rearview camera, lumbar adjustment for the seat and keyless entry and go) that are optional extras on the regular 500X, are also part of the kit.
The base variant can be had with a 1.6-liter MultiJet II diesel engine making 120 PS (118.3 bhp) and a 1.4-liter Turbo MultiAir II petrol with 140 PS (138 bhp). Both engines are available with front wheel drive only.
The top-end variant however, gets a 2.0-liter MultiJet II engine that produces 140 PS (138 bhp). A 9-speed automatic transmission sends the drive to all wheels. It is finished in an Amore Red color and gets rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights.
Other features like a two-tone interior, an electrochromic rearview mirror and a Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation are seen on this model as well.
The Fiat 500X Opening Edition will be available in Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland. In Italy, it is priced from 21,900 euros (INR 17 lakhs).
