Prior to its market introduction this month, the brochure of the Fiat Avventura is available courtesy of MotorBeam. The Punto-based crossover will come in Active and Dynamic trims (for petrol), and Active, Dynamic and Emotion trims (for diesel).
Features such as central locking, roof rack, external spare wheel, dual-tone dashboard, alloy wheels, front power windows, foldable key, compass and inclinometer will be standard across the range. The top-end Emotion trim will see features like ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, foglights, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, remote keyless entry, music system with Bluetooth and steering mounted controls.
Coming to the engines, the Avventura will be sold with a petrol and diesel engine. The petrol motor is the 1.4-liter 'FIRE' which makes 90 PS (88.73 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The 1.3-liter 'MultiJet' diesel is seen in its higher 93 PS (91.6 bhp) state of tune (at 4,000 rpm) and churns out 209 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. Both engines get a 5-speed manual transmission.
According to ARAI tests, the petrol is good for 14.4 km/l, and the diesel sees an efficiency of 20.5 km/l. In terms of weight, the petrol variants weigh between 1,190-1,195 kg, and the diesels between 1,240-1,255 kg.
Dimensionally, the Avventura measures 3,989 mm in length, 1,706 mm in width, 1,542 mm in height and 2,510 mm in wheelbase. 205/55 16-inch alloy wheels will come standard.
