DSK Motowheels, the Korean brand Hyosung's manufacturing and sales partner in India, are now taking things a notch higher, as a report on Overdrive states that they are in the process of signing a deal to manufacture Hyosung's entire range of motorcycles in India.
While at present there is no confirmation from the company, the plan would extend beyond just manufacturing a few products that would be used for local consumption. Rather the deal would entitle DSK to start sourcing from local vendors, and setup a large supply chain needed to manufacture Hyosung motorcycles that could be exported to international markets as well.
Hyosung might be looking to make India its primary manufacturing hub, while its research and development would also come to India, further deepening ties, adds the report.
Currently the Pune based company has an assembly plant at Wai, Maharastra that has a capacity of 70-80 units per month, clearly inadequate for global ambitions. DSK is slated to increase the production of the plant as it also plans to incorporate the assembly of the Benelli range of motorcycles.

The reports claims that the deal would be signed "shortly".
