Cleveland CycleWerks has announced a price cut of INR 38,000 on the Cleveland Ace Deluxe. The motorcycle now retails at INR 1.85 lakh, as against the announced price of INR 2.24 lakh (both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi).

Cleveland Ace Deluxe Launched In India
The price cut is applicable to the Cleveland Ace Deluxe and is limited to the first 200 customers.

The price cut is part of an introductory offer, which is available for the first 200 customers. Cleveland CycleWerks launched the Ace Deluxe and the Cleveland Misfit in India on 20 September. The offer is available just for the Cleveland Ace Deluxe, and the Misfit continues to retail at INR 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The American bike maker is expected to introduce the Cleveland Ace Scrambler and the Ace Cafe models in the country next month. The motorcycles are imported into the country via CKD kits from China, while they are locally assembled at the company's facility in Pune.

The Cleveland range of motorcycles use a 229cc, single-cylinder, OHV, air-cooled motor that is capable of pumping out 15.4 bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and 16 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox.

While the motorcycles are priced competitively, considering they are not locally manufactured, the prices are exorbitant when we look at the competition. For instance, the power figures and kit on offer is at par with the 160cc segment motorcycles in India, which are priced around INR 80,000-90,000 (ex-showroom). While the price cut might attract more customers towards the brand, Cleveland CycleWerks India's marketing team has its work cut out.

The Cleveland Ace Deluxe is a modern-retro roadster with a classic design language. The motorcycle is underpinned by a square-section single-downtube frame. On the other hand, the Cleveland Misfit features a unique design which is an amalgamation of a scrambler and a cafe racer. Both the motorcycles feature USD front forks, wire-spoke wheels and disc brakes at both the ends with standard ABS.
