Expected to launch for sale in November; bookings currently open.
Autocar India has acquired spy shots of the 2017 Nissan GT-R snapped on Indian soil for the first time. It is expected to launch for sale in November, and bookings are currently being accepted for a minimum deposit of INR 25 Lakhs.
While the GT-R showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 was MY2016, the model that goes on sale later this year is the facelifted 2017 Nissan GT-R, which made its debut at the 2016 New York Motor Show in March. It features Nissan's signature V-motion grille with a matte chrome finish and an updated mesh pattern, redesigned engine hood, new front lip spoiler and restyled bumpers. The side sills have been pushed out to direct air flow around the vehicle, while the rear end has been made slightly more aggressive.
Inside, the dashboard has been completely redesigned for a cleaner, more upmarket look. The centre console features fewer buttons than before and houses a new 8-inch touchscreen display. Also new is the steering wheel design, which has gearshift paddles integrated into the steering spokes, rather than in the steering column.
Along with cosmetic changes, Nissan has also bumped the power output. The VR38DETT 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine now produces 565 hp and 467 lb.-ft (633 Nm) of torque. It's paired with a 6-speed DCT and an AWD system with launch control.
