The 2016 Mitsubishi ASX (facelift) has made its Asian debut at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show). It was first showcased as the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport at the 2015 LA Auto Show.
The facelifted Mitsubishi ASX incorporates the brand’s “Dynamic Shield” front design concept which has been seen so far on the facelifted third-gen Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV II, third generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Mitsubishi eX Concept. At the sides, there appears to be new 17-inch alloy wheel design and the rear-end seems to have remained more or less unchanged.
Interior features include leather seats with heating and 8-way power adjustment functions, 10.1-inch display for the infotainment system which features HD video playback support, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
The 2016 Mitsubishi ASX is available with two engine options in China: 4A92 1.6-litre MIVEC four-cylinder petrol unit that produces 91 kW (122 hp) and 149 Nm of torque and 4B11 2.0-litre MIVEC four-cylinder petrol unit 123 kW (165 hp) and 197 Nm of torque.
