Should be launched in Japan next month.
The 2016 Mazda3 (facelift) has been fully revealed in a leaked brochure ahead of its expected launch in Japan in August, courtesy livedoor Blog.
The facelift brings subtle exterior changes including 2016 Mazda CX-9-inspired headlights with the signature wing grille flowing into it, new foglamps and turn signals with chrome extensions on the sides and repositioned Mazda logo on the front; and new LED turn indicator strips in the lower portion of the door mirrors. The rear appears to have remained unchanged.
Eight exterior colour choices will be available: Soul Red Premium Metallic, Machine Gray Premium Metallic, Eternal Blue Mica, Sonic Silver Metallic, Titanium Flash Mica, Deep Crystal Blue Mica, Jet Black Mica and Snow Flake Pearl Mica. Inside, the 2016 Mazda3 (facelift) features new steering wheel, free-standing display for the infotainment system and gearshift lever - all three similar to that of the Mazda CX-9, and sharper chrome trim on the dashboard.

The leaked brochure has confirmed that the facelift will add the SKYACTIV-D 1.5 diesel model to the 2016 Mazda Axela (facelift) range. SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel and SKYACTIV-G 1.5 petrol models as well as the SKYACTIV-HYBRID petrol-electric variant will continue being offered in the Mazda Axela post-facelift.
