GM India today launched the Chevrolet Trailblazer in India at INR 26.4 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The company is accepting bookings for a minimum amount of INR 25,000 via Amazon India between October 21-25.
The Trailblazer measures 4,878 mm long, 1,902 mm wide, 1,847 mm high and has a 2,845 mm long wheelbase, while the ground clearance is 253 mm. Inside, it offers 7 seats spread across three rows. For more storage space, the third row seats has 50:50 split fold, while the second row seats fold 60:40 to leave a more than half of the cabin free for storage.
It is equipped with features such as projector headlights, leather upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, 7 inch MyLink touchscreen entertainment system with USB, CD, Bluetooth and AUX-in, automatic climate control, rear AC and electrically-adjustable driver’s seat. The MyLink system supports Siri Eyes Free for Apple iPhone owners.
Powering the Trailblazer is a 2.8-liter four cylinder Duramax diesel engine, which produces 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends torque to the rear wheels. Fuel mileage is rated at 11.45 km/L (as per CMVR Rule 115).
The Trailblazer comes standard with dual airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), hill descent control (HDC), traction control system (TCS), panic brake assist (PBA) cornering brake control (CBC), hill start assist (HSA), and hydraulic brake assist (HBA).
It competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ssangyong Rexton, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Ford Endeavour, which will soon be replaced by the next generation model.
