The Tata Winger DICOR BS4 has been launched at the ongoing 4th Bus and Special Vehicle Show which started today in Greater Noida.
Currently, the Winger is available only with a BS3 engine. The 2.0-liter BS3 unit is available in power outputs of 65 bhp and 90 bhp, with torque outputs of 115 Nm and 190 Nm respectively.
The passenger carrying variants come with seating options of 9+D, 12+D and 13+D.
The people carrier will be available in Tours & travel, staff transportation, school bus application and ambulance variants. Power for the Winger BS4 comes from the 2.2-liter DICOR diesel engine (also found on utility vehicles like the Safari and Aria) with a hydraulic clutch.
The company did not release the technical specifications of this engine for the Winger, but said that it has class-leading fuel economy, higher oil-drain interval, and a 3-year/300,000 km warranty.
