Gets revised front fascia and more equipment.
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has revealed the facelift for the Mitsubishi Pajero. It will be imported from Japan via CBU route, although the delivery date has not been announced. The SUV was sold under the Montero nameplate in India.
Ever since the fourth generation model (which is basically a heavily revised version of the previous generation) was unveiled in 2006, this is the second time that Mitsubishi has dished out a facelift for the company's top SUV. Exterior updates include a redesigned grille with two vertical chrome surrounds running down the front fascia, redesigned front bumper that house a set of LED DRLs, and an updated spare tire cover and number plate area.
Inside, the 7-seater SUV features metallic trim on the central HVAC units, wood trim on the passenger side of the dashboard and steering wheel, an updated touchscreen system, and a 9 inch display mounted on the roof with two wireless headsets.
Comfort features include leather upholstery with electric powered driver's seat, auto single zone AC with independent HVAC units for the 3rd row passengers.
Under the hood, it's powered by the same 3.8-liter MIVEC V6 engine that outputs 250 PS and 329 Nm of torque. It is paired to an 5-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels via Mitsubishi's selectable 4WD system.
