The Mitsubishi Pajero facelift (was sold as the Montero in India) and ASX facelift are in attendance at the ongoing Philippines Auto Show 2014 (CAMPI 2014).
Mitsubishi Pajero facelift
The refreshed SUV gets visual changes like a reworked grille, LED daytime running lights (only available in the higher variants) and a new spare wheel cover.
Depending on the variant, the interior changes come in the form of wood grain and piano black trims. The SUV is claimed to have a better NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness) package compared to the outgoing model.
The powertrain options however, remain untouched. The Pajero for the Philippines market continues to be powered either by a 3.2-litre diesel four-cylinder engine or a range-topping 3.8-litre V6 petrol motor.
The oil burner generates 165 PS and 363 Nm of torque while the gasoline mill churns out 250 PS (246.57 bhp) and 329 Nm of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission and a Super Select 4WD system are standard across the range.
The Pajero's standard equipment list includes 6 airbags, Mitsubishi Active Stability Traction Control, ABS and EBD. The off roader can also be specified with a reverse camera and tyre pressure monitoring system from the dealership.
