The Nomad is powered by a 2.3-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed AT.

The refreshed Ssangyong Nomad (Actyon in some markets) SUV is getting ready to enter Russia. The vehicle will be imported from Kazakhstan where it is being assembled out of CKD kits by Allur Group.

The Russia-bound Actyon will be called the Nomad and will be assembled in Kazakhstan.

The updated version went on sale in some markets in the second part of 2013. The compact SUV received a complete revamp of the front fascia with the new look borrowed from the Actyon Sports pickup. Ssangyong decided to retain the car's quirky design elements like the tapering roof line and a boxy rear fascia.

Carscope.ru reports that a 2.3-litre petrol engine developing 150 PS and 214 Nm of torque will be powering the Russia-bound Nomad. The engine is mated to a Mercedes-derived 5-speed automatic transmission. The top-end variant will be equipped with a torque on demand 4WD system.

The refreshed Nomad would get a 5-speed AT.

The vehicle gets a double wishbone suspension upfront and a 5-link setup at the rear. The standard equipment includes dual airbags, ABS, EBD, "triple-layer" frame construction, electrochromatic rear view mirror, auto door locking, rear parking sensors and an 8-way adjustable driver seat.

The Korando is being sold in Russia as the Actyon and hence the compact SUV will enter the market under the Nomad monicker.

The Nomad could make its Russian debut at the Moscow Motor Show later this month.
