Moto Guzzi unveiled its 2014 model year range of the V7 motorcycle at the International Motor Cycle Exhibition (EICMA) in November last year. The updated V7 is now in attendance at the Auto Expo, seen alongside the brand's California cruiser.
The V7 at the Auto Expo is the 'Stone' variant. The Italian bike maker sells two other derivatives on the V7 called 'Racer' and 'Custom'. The V7 Stone draws power from a 744 cc, fuel-injected, 90-degree V-Twin engine which produces 50 hp at 6,200 rpm and 58 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The V7 rests on a double cradle tubular frame chassis made in ALS steel with a detachable rear subframe. It gets a 320 mm stainless steel disc at the front and a 260 mm stainless steel disc at the rear. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic 40 mm stanchions at the front and die-cast alloy swing arm with adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. Weighing in at 179 kg, the V7 gets a 22 liter fuel tank.
