Indian Autos Blog learned at the pre-launch media drive of the Fiat Punto Evo, that the vehicle will launch in the first week of August.
The Punto Evo gets a comprehensive update on the outside with new, flared headlights (like those seen on the Fiat Avventura), grille, bumpers with chrome-enclosed foglights, a redesigned bonnet, new alloy wheel patterns, taillights and addition of a new Gold body color.
Inside, the Punto borrows its dashboard and switches from the refreshed Linea that was launched earlier this year. The top-end Sport variant (seen in these images) which is exclusively available with the 90 hp diesel engine, gets an all black interior, while other models get a dual-tone black and beige color scheme.
No changes are seen as far as powertrains go. The hatchback will continue to be offered with 1.2- and 1.4-liter four-cylinder petrol engines and the 1.3-liter diesel engine. The diesel will be available in 76 PS (74.9 bhp) and 93 PS (90 bhp) power states. All engines, irrespective of petrol or diesel, will come with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The variants and features of the refreshed Punto can be seen here.
