Anjan Ravi, I'm a true-blooded petrolhead. Hope you enjoy our news stories, launch coverages, motorshow coverages and test drive reports.
The Ford EcoSport has been launched in Nepal yesterday. As we reported earlier, Ford had plans to launch the EcoSport in the Nepali market soon after it’s Indian debut.
The EcoSport for Nepal is sold through GO Ford, the official distributors for Ford products in that region.
Like India, the EcoSport in Nepal is available in 7 different colors (Mars Red, Diamond White, Kinetic Blue, Moondust Silver, Chill Metallic, Panther Black and Sea Grey).
And like India, the EcoSport in Nepal will be available with three engine options and two gearbox options. Starting the lineup is the 1.5-liter four cylinder petrol, which is available in three variants namely Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. The same engine can be had with a 5-speed manual as standard or with Ford’s 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The 1.0-liter three cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost engine is available in two variants (Titanium and Titanium Plus). It is available with a 5-speed manual transmission only. And finally, completing the lineup is the 1.5-liter diesel TDCi engine which is available in four variants.
It goes without saying that the EcoSport for Nepal is imported from India through the CBU route. Here are the prices for Nepal (thanks to the near 200% customs duty in Nepal).
