The Fiat Linea T-Jet was the only turbocharged petrol sedan in its segment. Targeted at enthusiasts, its grin inducing capabilities didn't get Fiat any big numbers as the nature of the Indian car market was turning diesel-centric.

Staring at a dismal demand, Fiat India silently withdrew the car, only to relaunch it now, hoping that the current reduction in the petrol prices could tempt enthusiasts.
When the Linea and the Punto lineup was upgraded to the 2013 model year, the T-Jet variant was left out. The relaunch would basically have a subtly updated interior and a possible hike in the 1.4 litre turbo petrol's power and torque outputs which currently stand at 118 bhp and 207 Nm respectively.

The rest of the package is expected to stay the same. Cardekho.com reports that the relaunch of the Linea T-Jet is scheduled on 10th of this month.
As of now, Fiat is in the process of setting up its independent chain of dealerships across India. So far the Italian car maker has inaugurated about 50 outlets. The count would double by the end of the year.

The Linea 2013 and the Punto 2013 are being offered with a three year warranty with an optional two year extended warranty. The same warranty package is likely to be offered in the Linea T-Jet as well.
