The 100,00th Tata Tiago has rolled out from the company's manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The hatchback was launched in April last year and has been a reliable seller for Tata Motors, playing a major role in helping the company post a 22% growth over FY2017.
The launch of the manual variants of the Tata Tiago in April 2017 was followed by the introduction of an AMT variant in March this year. Tata Motors currently offers the Tata Tiago in petrol and diesel avatars with the 5-speed AMT being a petrol-only option for now.

Bookings of the Tata Tiago crossed the one lakh mark in July 2017 with the majority of buyers opting for the petrol variant. Tata Motors European Technical Centre based in the UK has also developed an EV based on the Tiago. It could play a crucial part India's shift from IC engined vehicles to EVs by 2030.
