TVS Entorq 210 is a concept scooter that made its first appearance at the Auto Expo 2016. There were some rumours around the launch of this model in the market. However, to date, there isn't any official statement confirming the debut of this maxi-scooter in India.
TVS unveiled the TVS Entorq 210 at the Auto Expo 2016. The Entorq 210 is introduced as a racing chargeable scooter. The concept car with its bold design has left a very good impression on the audience’s mind. However, that’s not enough for this model to make its way to the market.
The displayed model is powered by a high-performance 212.5cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine. The power outputs of this engine are not revealed yet. However, the company claimed that this engine enables the scooter to reach the top speed of 120 kmph. The transmission duties are handled by an advanced variomatic unit. However, some reports suggested that the 210cc engine would not be chosen to power the production-ready version. Instead, a 150cc unit would do the job. The smaller engine helps to keep the price in check and assures rideability which is highly appreciated in a regular two-wheeler for commuting. It is said that the engine, despite being smaller, will offer a class-leading performance that can balance city commuting and highway cruising.
The suspension setting includes an upside-down front fork and a mono-shock absorber for the rear. There are disc-brake at both ends.
Introduced as a premium offering, the TVS Entorq is equipped with various high-tech features. It gets a smartphone integration system that supports GPS navigation, making it the first model to be displayed with this premium feature. There is also a TFI multi-function digital instrument console for internet connectivity. In addition, the Entorq also features a full LED lighting system, single-channel ABS and keyless go. Both wheels of the scooter are fitted with radial tubeless tyres.
The displayed version looks premium with a silver-orange scheme. It looks futuristic with a sharp and sculptured design. The seat is designed with great ergonomics that offer comfortable rides.
The price of TVS Entorq is expected to be around Rs 1.25 lakh.
Reports about the launch of this model have been around since its debut at the Auto Expo 2016. To date, there is no official statement confirming the launch date of the TVS Entorq in our market. While India-spec TVS Entorq is not yet announced, TVS is currently working on a few other upcoming bikes and scooters that are expected to launch in India.
