SWM SuperDual India launch in early 2018 - Report

CarandBike reports that the SWM SuperDual will be launched in the next three-four months in India.

Motoroyale is bullish about the upcoming SuperDual's performance in the market.

SWM is an Italian two-wheeler manufacturer founded in 1971. The company has 12 two-wheelers on sale in the displacement range of 125 cc to 600 cc, globally. The SWM SuperDual is a 600cc adventure motorcycle, which will be sold by Motoroyale of the Kinetic Group in India. Kinetic Group Managing Director Ajinkya Firodia told the media house on the side-lines of the Kinetic-Norton joint venture:

We intend to price the SWM SuperDual under ? 6 lakh, and have a lot of expectations from the SuperDual. We are almost ready to launch the SWM SuperDual, and it will be launched within the next 3-4 months. It's an on-road, off-road motorcycle, and we expect it to be the biggest seller from MotoRoyale.

The SWM SuperDual employs a single cylinder 600cc engine with liquid cooling. The powerplant makes 57.1 PS of power and 53.5 Nm of torque. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission.

The motorcycle also features full crash guard; windscreen; knuckle guards; saddle stays, and a bash plate.

A 45 mm Fast Ace adjustable upside down front fork and an adjustable rear Sachs monoshock hold the steel double cradle frame. The 19-inch front and the 17-inch rear spoke wheels are shod with Metzeler Tourance tyres. Brakes include a 300 mm front and a 220 mm rear disc, both with ABS.

The fuel tank capacity stands at a generous 18 litres, and the motorcycle tips the scales at 169 kg kerb, without fuel. When launched, the SWM SuperDual will lock horns with the Benelli TNT 600GT in the segment.
