Powered by 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines.
The Ssangyong Tivoli has been unveiled for the European market at the ongoing 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The B-segment SUV is first of its kind from the Korean manufacturer and will go on sale in the old continent from May this year, while an all-wheel drive version is announced to reach showrooms in July.
The vehicle, launched in the Korean market earlier this year, measures 4,195 mm long, 1,795 mm wide, and 1,590 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, and will be available with newly developed 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine can be combined with a manual or automatic transmission, and with either a 2WD or 4WD.
Named after an Italian town near Rome, the vehicle will come with seven airbags, ESP, Brake Assist and Hill Start among other safety features.
Based on a new monocoque platform, 71.4 percent of the Tivoli's body is made of high-strength steel (HSS). All Korean market variants will come with a Smart Steer function, which can be adjusted between three modes - Normal, Comfort and Sport - also announced for Europe.
Notable features on the Korean specification Tivoli include automatic AC with a memory function, heated steering wheel, heated second row seats, parking sensors, reverse camera, a 7-inch infotainment system and option of contrast roof colors.
