IAB Retrospect - Next gen Audi R8, Toyota Etios facelift, Renault SUV, Kawasaki Z250, Kawasaki ER-6n

1. Next gen Audi R8

Speaking to Indian Autos Blog on the sidelines of Paris Motor Show, Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi’s member of the Board of Management and head of Technical Development, said that the next gen R8 supercar will be ready in 2016. The next iteration will share its underpinnings with the Lamborghini Huracan.

2. Toyota Etios and Etios Liva facelift

The Toyota Etios and its hatchback sibling Toyota Etios Liva, received a minor update ahead of the festive season. The updated duo get dual front airbags as standard and come with a new grille and revised door pad trim.

3. Renault C-Segment SUV (based on Nissan Qashqai)

Renault is preparing a C-segment compact SUV based on the Nissan Qashqai. The crossover has already started testing in Europe and the design is reportedly finalized. Here is a rendering of the car in question based on the spyshots by our in-house designer Shoeb Kalania.

4. Kawasaki Z250

The Kawasaki Z250 quarter litre naked sportsbike has been launched in India at INR 2.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle which is assembled with a localization of 40% is powered by a 249 cc parallel-twin engine which is capable of 32 PS (31.54 hp) at 11,000 rpm and 21 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm

5. Kawasaki ER-6n

The locally assembled Kawasaki ER-6n was launched alongside the Z250 at INR 4.78 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle is powered by the 649 cc parallel-twin engine which pumps out 72.1 PS (71.08 bhp) at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
