Fiat India has released yet another teaser image of the Avventura. The image highlights the projector headlights of the car, and in the background, the grille and bumper of the Avventura are also visible.
Based on the Punto Evo (which launches next month), the Avventura gets skid guards, plastic body claddings, roof rails and an exposed spare wheel. Inside, the car comes with roll-and-tilt gauges and contrast stitching.
The Avventura will source its power from the same set of engines used on the Punto. The engines in question are 1.2- and 1.4-liter four-cylinder petrol motors and a 1.3-liter diesel engine which is available in two power states. All engines come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. However, the display car at the Auto Expo featured a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Avventura which had its world premiere at the Auto Expo earlier this year will go on sale in the festive season (likely before September 2014). It will rival the Etios Cross from Toyota and Cross Polo from VW. Like other Fiat India products, the Avventura will be made at the company's Ranjangaon plant.
