After a long wait since its unveiling in November last year, the 2018 Ford EcoSport is finally about to arrive in India. A fresh report from Autocar India says that the 2018 Ford EcoSport’s launch in India will take place in October 2017.
The 2018 Ford EcoSport features a new front-end inspired by Ford’s global SUVs Ford Edge and Ford Escape. The facelift brings a new hexagonal grille, larger headlamps, triangular fog lamps and a restyled bumper. On the sides, new design alloy wheels are expected. At the rear, Ford should offer new design spare wheel cover.
Inside, the dashboard incorporates a grab bar. There’s a new three-spoke steering wheel, as well as a Ford Fiesta-inspired new instrument cluster and floating central display. Ford has redesigned the centre console also for a fresh, more contemporary design with richer quality material. The central display shows output from the new Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 100 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine should continue as is. The fate of the 112 PS 1.5-litre TiVCT and 125 PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engines is unknown.
Deliveries of the 2018 Ford EcoSport will commence in November.
