Mazda is showcasing the European spec of the Mazda CX-5 crossover and Mazda6 sedan at this year's Geneva motor show. Both models sport a minor facelift and a revised interior.

The Euro-spec models feature a horizontal multi-slat grille (unlike the honeycomb grille in the current U.S spec model), a redesigned fog lamp enclosure for both the CX-5 and Mazda6 (with chrome detailing). The company has confirmed that both will feature Adaptive LED Headlights, which has four blocks of LED lights that can also be deactivated individually to prevent blinding an approaching motorist.

The Mazda CX-5's dimensions measure at 2700mm of wheelbase between 4555 mm of overall length, 1840 mm overall width, and 1670 mm of total height, while the Mazda6 sedan measures at 2830mm of wheelbase, 4895 mm of overall length, 1840 mm of overall width, and 1,450 mm of overall height.

Under the hood, the Mazda CX-5 will come with a choice between two SKYACTIV-G petrol engines: a 155 hp 2.0-liter or a 184 hp 2.5-liter, which is the new addition. Mazda will also offer a 140 hp 2.2-liter SKYACTIV-D diesel engine for the CX-5. Transmission options include a 6 speed manual or automatic for both petrol and diesel engines, which will drive either the front wheels in basic trim, or all four wheels via an AWD system.

The Mazda6 will be available in both sedan and wagon configurations, which are to be powered by either a 184 hp SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter petrol motor or a 148 hp 2.2-liter SKYACTIV-D diesel unit. The updated Mazda6 wagon body style now benefits from an optional all-wheel-drive system.
