Video – 2014 Chevrolet Silverado High Country
They say sooner or later your passion finds you. Sometime in late 2009, I started writing for IAB and ever since then it has been a roller coaster ride for me. An amazing experience that has taught me a lot, taken me to new places, driven some great cars and met some amazing people. When you don’t find me on IAB (very rarely), you will find me either at a coffee shop or an eatery or at the nearest gadget store.
Hope you enjoy IAB as much as we do!
Chevrolet may have taken the wraps of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado last week in LA, but the most luxurious trim of the 2014 Silverado Range called the Chevrolet Silverado High Country is a fitting swan song for the retreating model.

On the inside, the High Country carries a western theme with an exclusive saddle-brown color. It features perforated leather with High Country logos embedded in the front headrests. It also has an eight-inch touch-screen with Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment setup. The audio responsibilities are handled by Bose-branded gear.
Optional features include:
- Integrated trailer brake controller
- chrome rear bumper with CornerStep
- Driver alert package
- Heated steering wheel
- Adjustable pedals
- Rear-seat entertainment system
The Silverado High Country can be purchased with a 5.3-liter V8 EcoTec3 engine, and you can also opt for the larger 6.2-liter V8 EcoTec3.
Both power units benefit from active fuel management, cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing.
The High Country trim line starts at $45,100 (28.18 lakh rupees) for the 5.3-liter V8 and $54,565 (34.10 lakh rupees) for the 6.2-liter V8.
