The Avventura has a waiting period of a couple of weeks.
Fiat's just-launched Avventura has received over 500 bookings as of October 21. The company spokesman told IAB that they had gotten over 15,000 enquiries for vehicle information and test drives.
Dealers of Fiat started accepting bookings for the Avventura as early as last month, and the car was also displayed at prominent shopping malls for the public to have a first look.
Available in petrol and diesel, the Avventura is priced between INR 5.99 lakhs to INR 7.05 lakhs for the former, and between INR 6.89 lakhs to INR 8.17 lakhs for the diesel variants, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
The company expects a couple of weeks of waiting period for new customers, but deliveries for those who pre-ordered have commenced. The Avventura is made at the Tata-Fiat joint venture plant in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra, where other products from the Fiat stable like the Punto Evo and Linea, are also manufactured. The India-made Avventura would be exported to markets like Nepal as well.
Based on the Punto Evo, the exterior of the Avventura sees the adornment of skid guards, aluminium roof rails, body cladding, 16-inch alloy wheels and an external spare wheel as design highlights. Inside, the car is identical to the Punto but for a compass, an inclinometer and a soft-touch dashboard.
