Prices start from INR 3.2 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
Tata's VP of Sales and Network, SN Barman, has admitted that the highly competitive launch price of the Tata Tiago is difficult to hold for a certain period. It's unclear as to how long Tata will keep the introductory price.
Prices range between INR 3.20 Lakhs to INR 5.54 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), and is available in two engine options spread across five grades. Compared to its rivals, the Tiago is the least expensive hatchback in the segment, whilst offering more powerful powertrains, better fuel efficiency and more equipment.
The Tiago is available with Tata’s ConnectNext Infotainment system that has been exclusively developed by HARMAN, an 8-speaker audio system that can play files through USB and Aux-In, apart from radio and CD functions. Dual airbags and driver’s seat height adjustment are standard in the XZ grade, and optional in XE, XM and XT.
Engine lineup includes an all new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm, while the diesel-powered Tiago packs a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm. The only transmission option in both models is a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol and diesel variants are capable of averaging an ARAI-certified fuel mileage of 23.84 km/L and 27.28 km/L, respectively.
