Jeep Compass Longitude (O) now available in petrol
The Jeep Compass in the Longitude/Longitude (O) grade was available with the 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine so far. Now, it (Longitude (O)) is available with the 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine as well.
The Limited Plus grade was introduced in September last year. Until then, Jeep Compass petrol buyers had no choice but to select either the base Sport grade or the top-of-the-line Limited grade. With the most recent revision, the petrol engine model is available in all four equipment lines.
The Jeep Compass Longitude (O) petrol costs INR 18,89,998*. The 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the Longitude (O) grade is paired with the 7-speed DDCT dual-clutch transmission as standard. The petrol-AT configurations have a fuel economy rating of 14.1 km/l, which is just a tad lower than that of the petrol-MT configuration (14.3 km/l) that is exclusive to the Sport grade. The availability of the Jeep Active Drive 4x4 system is still limited to the diesel engine model.
The Longitude grade comes with features like 17-inch alloy wheels, passive keyless entry, push-button start, power folding ORVMs, reverse parking sensors, six speakers and front and rear fog lamps. Moreover, the option pack adds projector halogen headlamps with LED position lamps, 7-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, roof rails, rear parcel shelf and activated Carbon air filter.
