Update 67- OFFICIAL- RACE WILL NOT GO ON- JENSON BUTTON IS THE WINNER TIMO GLOCK, NICK HEIDFELD ARE 2nd AND 3rd
Update 66- Hamilton wears his ear piece, gets ready to race; no official confirmation yet
Update 65- ENGINES ARE FIRING UP; TRULLI GETS BACK INTO THE CAR; RACE MIGHT HAPPEN
Update 64- Barichello applies eye drops; some drivers are inside the cars
Update 63- Raikkonen is inside the ferrari pits- changed into shorts- eating ice cream!!
Update 62- Race should start under the leadership of the Safety car. Might start in the next 10 minutes.
Update 61- SHOCKING! THE CIRCUIT IS TERRIBLY WATER LOGGED EVENTHOUGH THE RAIN IS LESS IN INTENSITY; THE TEAMS HAVE PUSHED THE CARS INTO THEIR RESPECTIVE POSITIONS ON THE STARTING GRID; THE RACE LOOKS LIKE IT WILL GO ON; SUNLIGHT IS ALSO DIM
Update 60- Hamilton in the car, feeling cold, uses a piece of wool for relief
Update 59- drivers wait with expectation; some in the car, some out of it
Update 58- Button, glock, heidfeld, trulli, barichello- top 5 cars as such.
Update 57- One of the Ferraris are pulled into the pits, the other car is covered with a red cloth; Massa sits on the separator and talks to his team pals
Update 56- Mark Webber back in the pits with the engineers; the race circuits looks like a river; water flowing over the chicanes creates waves;
Update 55- Thunderclaps voice over the circuit; drivers park cars in the safety of their mechanics on the start-finish straight and head for cover
Update 54- 10 minutes before decision on whether to go or not is taken
UPDATE 53- TORRENTIAL RAIN STOPS MALAYSIAN GP; CARS ASSEMBLE ON THE START-FINISH STRAIGHT; HAVE NOT SEEN SUCH A CONDITION IN F1 BEFORE; RED FLAG IS OUT
Update 52- I’ve not seen such a condition in F1; Visibility is almost zero; heavy water logging, race might come to a halt; safety car is out; Button leads the race; water spray from the back of the cars affecting visibility for trailing drivers
Update 51- Getting seriously wet; no visibility; SEBASTIAN VETTEL SKIDS OFF; END OF RACE FOR VETTEL; RAIN IS TERRIBLE; SAFETY CAR IS OUT; WATER LOGS AT PORTIONS OF TRACK, A FEW INCHES DEEP; ALL TEAMS ON FULL WET TYRES
Update 50- Rain pours down, most cars back in the pits for wet weather tyres; Massa gets into wet weather tires; 11th position
Update 49- Timo Glock into 1st, Button pitted; and now back into the lead, glock into the pits
Update 48- Rubens Barichello runs wide and loses 2 positions; now he’s into the pits; trulli toyota in the pits and takes intermediates and no fuel; barichello also on intermediates; Jenson Button, Timo Glock still in 1-2; 28 laps to the end
Update 47- Massa into 8th position; Rosberg into the pits; Rain continues; Lewis Hamilton in the pits and out; in intermediate tyres;
Update 46- Rain starting to come down hard on the start straight. Lightning strikes!
Update 45- Hamilton- Have an engine issue- Rev limiter problem
Update 44- Webber passes Heidfeld to TAKE 5TH POSITION
Update 43- Webber regains 6th position after a few corners
Update 42- Webber runs wide in an attempt to regain 6th position
update 41- Portions of the track moist, portions are dry, hamilton pasts Webber into 6th postion
UPDATE 30- BUTTON ROSBERG TRULLI BARICHELLO in 1-2-3-4
UPDATE 39- ITS STARTED TO RAIN NOW, ALONSO SKIDS AND REJOINS ..BUTTON INTO THE PITS..BARICHELLO, TRULLI, HAMILTON, HEIDFELD, MASSA, ALL IN THE PITS
Update 38- KIMI IS ON WET WEATHER TYRES, RIGHT? HE’S LOST 20 SECONDS IN ONE LAP AS THE TRACK IS STILL DRY
Update 37- RAIN RAIN RAIN!! HAMILTON TELLS TEAM- “RAIN AT TURN 15”
Update 36- LAP 20, Barrichello in the pits; soft tyres, not a clean exit from the stop
Update 35- Kimi on wet weather tyres!! Rain around the corner, no signs of it yet
Update 34- Button pits, and joins 2nd
Update 33- Brawn GP 1-2 now; Trulli in 4th; Brawns, Ferraris, Mclarens have not pitted yet

Update 22- Heidfeld- brakes late, misses the corner, runs wide and slips 2 places- 47 laps to go
Update 21- Vettel from 13th to 10th now- 48 laps to the flag
Update 20- Button asks team over radio- “Is rain expected soon”..oh yes sir..the clouds look threatening
Update 19- Hamilton 11th position, 51 laps to go
Update 18- The clouds are dark blue; pregnant with the race stirrer, rain! Shouls start raining within the next 10 laps max
Update 17- Massa up to 12th place within 4 laps
Update 16- Rosberg’s pulled away from the rest of the pack
Update 15- ROBERT KUBICA’s car on fire!!! Retires from the race
Update 14- Buemi in the pits; for new front wing
Update 13- Rosberg, trulli, button now 1-2-3; one lap completed
Update 12- Malaysian GP IS GO- Rosberg, trulli, alonso in the top 3; Heikki out once again on the first lap
Update 11- drivers steering hard to get heat into the tyres; almost all cars on the start-finish straight; cars assembled
Update 10- Almost all teams on softer tyres; cars race off into the first corner on the formation lap; minutes to go before the start of the GP
Update 9- Massa and number 16 doesn’t fit on the screen; looks akward; when was the last time Ferarri started from 16th position?
Update 8- RAIN PREDICTED WITHIN 10 MINUTES AT THE RACE TRACK. Conditions are still bright and sunny.
Update 7- Mark Webber makes himself comfortable in his race suit
Update 6- Kimi puts his helmet on; 10 minutes to go
Update 5- Less than 15 minutes to go; Delegates take a tour of the starting grid; Bernie Ecclestone accompanies;
Update 4- Safety car in position; cars have assembled on the track; mechanics working away at the cars; umbrellas are out covering the cockpit; heat is going to play a role in the race. No signs of rain yet
Update 3- Less than 30 minutes to go till the start of the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Update 2- No news of rain yet; Rain should mix up the pack and make it a lot more interesting; racing on a slippery circuit is always exciting to watch
Update 1- No updates on Alonso’s ear infection; he was visibly struggling in yesterday’s qualifying session; it is putting a stopper on his racing skills.
