Here is some real advise to TATA, who is fighting to gain market share with poor quality small cars, compared to what they have been getting from IIM/ Harvard MBA’s.
There is a real need for a full size safe car, made in India as an Indian brand comparable to the best in the world. The reason for this are several, but I will list a few below:

There are lot of patriotic people that believe in India, and do not want to be seen in an Imported brand of luxury car. At this point they have no option but use an ugly MPV/SUV or an imported brand.

People who want a large safe vehicle have no choice and end up buying expensive Japanese tin cans with expensive features.

Large corporations have no choice in buying a full size car with good safety profile and end up buying small cars with expensive options or buy imported full size cars with questionable warranty and service.

Government and military has no option other than buy poor quality SUV or small cars.

For safety oriented high end rental/taxi segment there is no option other than go for a SUV or pay arm and a leg for imported rental vehicles.

With growth in small and mid size companies and desire to get into better and safe larger cars, this category is going to explode and will go to imported vehicles due to lack of an Indian made, Indian branded full size car. Quality Indian brand in the price range of 12 to 15 L will be the ideal candidate to pick this low hanging fruit.

It is just unimaginable that a country that can send a satellite to Mars, build hydrogen/thermonuclear bomb, practically write software codes for all major branded electronic chips, and build a new generation fighter jet doesn’t have a full size indigenous car brand. NAMO, NAMO………..
