Codenamed YBA, the compact SUV will rival the Ford EcoSport.

Caught testing by, the YBA is covered under heavy camouflage, with only the silhouette and rear view mirrors being visible. The glasshouse appears similar to that of the XA-Alpha concept shown at the 2012 Auto Expo but isn’t as tapered towards the rear window.

The vehicle will have both petrol and diesel engine options, with the latter being a 1.5-litre unit, as reported earlier. And unlike most other crossovers, Maruti will offer the compact SUV with an optional all-wheel drive system, while the regular version will be front-wheel drive, reports say.
