An AMT could be offered on the Ertiga facelift.
Indian Autos Blog's render artist, Shoeb, has created yet another digital mockup of the Maruti Ertiga facelift, and this time, the render is based on a recent spyshot of the MPV. The Ertiga test mule most recently spotted featured a triple-layer chrome grille, like one seen in the render.
Further, it also came with silver accents for the fog light enclosures, like the ones on the Swift facelift. The airdam is a tad smaller in comparison to the current Ertiga.
Apart from minor cosmetic changes, reports indicate that the Ertiga facelift could benefit from the automated manual transmission (AMT) seen on other Maruti cars like the Alto K10 and Celerio. The AMT would likely be offered on the 1.4-liter K-Series petrol engine of the MPV. And speaking of engines, Maruti could opt to increase the fuel efficiency of the Ertiga as it did with the Swift facelift. The latter is now claimed to consume 10 per cent less fuel in comparison to the version it succeeds.

The company would also do well by adding features such as electrically-folding wing mirrors, a Bluetooth-enabled music system, keyless entry with push button start and dedicated buttons for answering/ending a phone call on the steering wheel.
