Launch weeks away now.
The largely awaited Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS was recently spotted at a dealership in Pune alongside the Pulsar 200 NS models that were there on display, suggesting that the dealer dispatch for the fully-faired version of the NS has started. The launch could be expected within a month’s time.
The Pulsar 200 SS which was supposed to launched in the final quarter of 2014 had gotten delayed due to unknown reasons, while constantly seen testing in the wild. The 200 SS’ fully faired design is borrowed from its larger sibling, the Bajaj Pulsar SS400 concept which was displayed with other Bajaj motorcycle models at the 2014 Auto Expo.
The motorcycle features dual-projector headlights and a saree guard that is a mandatory addition for any motorcycle launched in India.
The Pulsar 200 SS is powered by the same engine that runs inside the 200 NS with the addition of fuel injection and would produce 24 bhp of power and 20 Nm of torque. To put that power down to the road, the motorcycle would employ a six-speed transmission.
