We posted the production ready images of the most awaited motorcycle from the Bajaj stable – the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS just last afternoon. The Pulsar, while awaiting its launch in India is also poised to launch in Turkey, and now apparently Colombia.
While the production ready Pulsar images that leaked before show the Bajaj bike in its yellow/white avatar, these new images unveil two additional colors, white/red and white/blue.
While these test mules in the images show quite a high handlebar mounting position and upright seating as compared to the KTM RC200 which offers a more dedicated riding posture, by the looks of it, the Pulsar 200 SS would be a more capable all rounder, and a better companion for long journeys.
Expected to be announced as soon as the first quarter of 2015, the 200 SS is tipped to be priced around the INR 1.2 lakh mark while the ABS version of the same would be price at a INR 20,000-30,000 premium.
The 200 SS would borrow its engine from the current 200 NS, which produces 23 bhp and 18.3 Nm of torque. The engine would get minor tweaks in the form of a remapped ECU to keep its performance in check with the added weight due to the plastics (while fuel injection is speculated to make its appearance for domestic as well as international markets).
