The 2015 Skoda Fabia's engines are up to 17% more efficient than that of the outgoing model.
Skoda has been teasing its soon-to-be-unveiled 2015 Skoda Fabia part by part. Through its latest Facebook updates, the carmaker has revealed the premium hatchback's front fender, C-pillar and partial taillight.
Earlier teaser images revealed headlamp and grille of the new Fabia. From what is visible, the next gen model is characterized by a taut sheet metal design complemented by sharp creases and angular elements. The long overdue replacement gets a bold character line that runs along the length of the car.
The rear quarter glass panel forms an upward kink in the glasshouse profile, a design touch which was first found in the new Octavia. The image also shows a thick, steeply tapering C-pillar and a roof-mounted spoiler.
The third teaser reveals the taillight design partially. The units extend to the fenders and the LED detailing forms the signature 'C' shaped element.
The overall design gets its inspiration from the VisionC concept. The interior is completely new and will offer a high level of personalization, says Skoda.
Mechanically, the hatchback retains the outgoing car's platform and is powered by petrol and diesel engines ranging from 1.0-litre to 1.4-litre.
