IAB reader Akarsh Mathur has managed to snap new images of the production-spec Tata Nexon interior. The images offer a good look at what we can expect from the range-topping version. The Nexon is expected to arrive in the second half of August.
As we have seen before, the top-end Tata Nexon interior will have a dual-tone beige and black colour theme contrasted by plastic silver, chrome and piano black accents. While the instrument cluster and steering wheel look identical to its siblings, rest of the interior comes across as unique. Prominent on the dashboard sits the new 6.5-inch Harman-based touchscreen system exclusive to range-topping models. This is the largest stock touchscreen system in Tata Motors range. Other interior features include drive mode selector dial, rear HVAC vents, leather driver arm rest, dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD.
The exterior snapped on many previous instances looks identical to the model unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016. Based on Tata's IMPACT design direction, the Nexon is Tata's most striking utility vehicle yet. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm.

At the Auto Expo 2016 world premiere, Tata Motors confirmed that the Nexon gets an all-new 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel unit. Producing 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque, it is reported to be the sole engine option at launch. The Tata Nexon petrol, confirmed to be in the works, packs a new 1.2-litre turbocharged mill. Transmission options for the diesel variant include a 6-speed automated manual and 6-speed manual for higher variants.
