The Vios is tipped to launch in India next year or in 2018.
The India-bound Toyota Vios was showcased at the 2016 Oman International Motor Show this month. The model is the pre-facelift version that is on sale in most markets, while the facelifted version was launched in China and will be reportedly head to Thailand next year.
In the Middle East, the Toyota Vios is called the Yaris, sold alongside the mid-size Yaris hatchback. It is available with two petrol engine options: 1.3L and 1.5L, spread across three grades. Prices range from OMR 4,850 (INR 8.58 Lakhs) to OMR 5,700 (INR 10.08 Lakhs).
Some of the features available in top-end models include push button start/stop, steering-mounted audio buttons, auto air conditioning, 2-DIN audio system with six speakers, leather-wrapped steering wheel, retractable door mirrors, ESP, Brake Assist, dual airbags and ABS.
The pre-facelift model (identical to the one above) has been spied testing on several occasions in India, and it remains to be seen which generation or specification of the Vios will enter India.
