Features a completely revised front-end.
Toyota China has unveiled a facelift for the Toyota Vios at the Auto China 2016 in Beijing. It's unclear if the facelifted model is exclusive to China or will be introduced in other markets later on.
The front-end of the new Vios features the most significant changes. It has new projector headlights with chrome C-shaped highlight, sleek upper grille with a bolder logo, a Camry-inspired hexagonal lower grille with the foglights integrated, and separate LED daytime running lights on both sides of the bumper.
At the back, the taillights get new internal cluster, both connected by a thinner chrome bootlid bar, and the the bumper has been slightly redesigned. There will also be new alloy wheel options.
Toyota hasn't confirmed any changes to the interior or engine lineup. It could pack a new 2NR-FE 1.5 litre Dual VVT-i engine with 108 hp at 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm at 4,200 rpm, and is paired to a CVT. The pre-facelift Vios's engine lineup had 1.3-liter and 1.5 liter four-cylinder engines with Dual VVT-i, mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic.
