Not confirmed for India.

Zigwheels has put up a gallery of spyshots featuring a Toyota Vios testing in Lonavla, Maharashtra. So far, Toyota Kirloskar Motor hasn't confirmed its market launch in India, but have said that they are looking to fill the gap between the Toyota Platinum Etios and Corolla Altis.

Newspaper reports say that it would be the next gen Vios that will come to India in 2018, and not the existing version (pictured).

Although the Vios was rumored to launch in India this year, new reports state that the Indian market will get an 'emerging market’ version of the Toyota Vios (codenamed Etios C) and not the current version that is popular in South Asia. As the codename hints, Toyota's Honda City challenger will be based on a modified Toyota Etios platform, which is highly localized in India.

The Etios C's design is reported to be heavily inspired by the Vios, similar to the relationship between the Renault Captur and Kaptur. It is also reported to be in the pipeline for the Brazilian market.
